Making a hosebib serviceable, from the outside:
A hosebib can end up being a permanent fixed installation, potentially resulting in interior wall removal in order to service. Installing a loop inside of the wall can allow for the hosebib to be pulled-out and away from the exterior wall, thus facilitating servicing or replacement with minimal disruptions. Adding a marker on the piping to indicate the farthest that the line can be pulled out is also a beneficial practice, which prevents kinking of the line (if the loop gets pulled too tight) inside of the wall.
